Press Launch of Umbro X III A Boot
In order to officially unveil their new boot which has been created with Michelin, Umbro wanted to produce a showcase event that would allow the country's press to test the key components of the boot.
First Class Football were asked to design and run a number of activities that would utilise the improved touch, control and motion that are the characteristics of the revolutionary boot. On the day of the boot launch with the help of England stars Michael Owen, Kelly Smith and Rachel Yankee, FCF put the press through their paces using Michelin tyres, a ball launcher, a radar gun and plenty of encouragement. The ability of the participants was varied but all had lots of fun and managed to achieve some success. Umbro were very happy with the event and the press coverage that followed in the days after. Below are pictures of the new boots.
Budweiser World Cup
Through their PR company, Budweiser contacted us in order to set up a talent search that would identify the 8 best amateur players in the country, in order that they could take a squad out to the Germany World Cup to play in Budweiser's very own promotional World Cup.
First Class Football were responsible for designing the skill drills and running the trial days across the country that whittled down thousands of players to just the 8 best.
The final decision rested with the Budweiser panel which included Head Coaches Andy and Ben as well as ex-England International Jamie Redknapp. The successful team received professional coaching from First Class Football before being flown out to the tournament with Ben as the team manager. The process was a great success and the team performed well in the tournament alongside professional players from Portugal and Greece.
